The CsEmsSvc service keeps a detailed log of its activity.  You can use the View Current Log File menu option under the File menu to view this log in notepad.  This log file is stored in the same directory as the Cisco Unity logs.  The data in the log file is comma separated so you can open the data in Excel for easier viewing of the columns or manipulation.  The following columns are included in the log

DATE

Date that this line was logged

TIME

Time that this line was logged

LOGDATATYPE

Event received

Indicates that an event we are monitoring for was found in the event log.  This does not necessarily mean that this event will generate a notification.

Event Monitored

Indicates that this event matched a monitored event (Trigger) and the data on the rest of the line indicates the trigger it matched and details about the status of that trigger.

Device

Indicates which device was found for this trigger and the status of this device.

Notification

Indicates that a notification was generated.

EVENTLOG

The event log source: Application or System.

EVENTSOURCE

The event source.  This corresponds to the Source column in the Event Viewer.

EVENTID

The event id.  This corresponds to the Event column in the Event Viewer.

EVENTTYPE

The event type: Error, Warning or Information.

TRIGGERSOURCE

This is the Monitored Event that matches this event.

This indicates which Monitored Event was matched.  1 indicates that this trigger was setup to match all event ids for the selected event source.

TRIGGERTYPE

This indicates the minimum level of Event Type for which this Monitored Event was setup to match.

ACTIVE

Indicates whether or not the Event Monitored or Device was active (1) or not (0).

EXPIRED

Indicates whether (1) or not (0) the Event Monitoreds notification interval has elapsed.  A value of zero indicates that this Monitored Events devices will not be notified because this event came in within Notification Interval defined in the Options.

SUCCESS

Indicates whether or not the notification appeared to be successful.  Some possible reasons for failure are that the Subscriber or Public Distribution List configured can not be found because it has since been deleted.  The EMS cannot determine whether or not the SMTP notification actually reached the recipient so a failure here would indicate that there was a problem generating and sending the SMTP message.

DEVICEADDRESS

This is the address as stored in the EMS database.  In the case of a Subscriber or Public Distribution List this will be a directory Id.  In the case of an SMTP device it will be the SMTP address.

DEVICEALIAS

This is the alias as found in the Unity database.  It is useful in the case of voice mail or e-mail notifications to Subscribers or Public Distribution Lists.

DEVICETYPE

This is the type of notification sent: Voice Mail Message, Email Message or SMTP Message.
