- 8/8/2010 – qSetup transition complete
for all mainline Connection tools.
Starting to post updates for tools that include Connection 8.5
support (notably COBRAS) – these will not affect their functionality on
mainline release versions of Connection 7 and 8.
- 5/19/2010 - Starting the process of replacing all
Install Shield setups with QSetup
frameworks. Superior flexibility, better support and smaller/faster
setups will be the result (not to mention a rather significant cost
savings for our little group). All new releases of tools will
include updated setups. Keep an eye out for any issues with installs
into various configurations - be sure to report anything unusual to me
directly or via the forums.
- 3/9/2010 - Unity 8 and Connection 8 are available
now. All tools supported for those releases should have version
support updated on the site now. TOIs for
both releases are available on the downloads
page.
- 2/3/2010 - Unity 8 and Connection 8 product releases
are coming up. Numerous tools updates and version support updates
are taking place on the site this week along with some training material
that should be out by the weekend.
- 10/6/2009 - All tools that support automatic version
update checks have now been upgraded to pull version info from the new
site.
- 10/3/2009 - Connection developer support web page is
up! For Connection 7.1(3) there is support for a REST based API for
administration tasks. Get support and documentation here: http://developer.cisco.com/web/cupi
- 10/2/2009 - Connection 7.1(3) available for download on
CCO. Links to documentation, release notes
and download page can be found here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6509/tsd_products_support_series_home.html
- 9/30/2009 - Starting updates of most tools to provide
version update checks via the XML file published on the new site.
Roughly 30 tools will be updated over the next week or so.
- 9/18/2009 - New site goes live.
- 9/13/2009 - All tools pages are now homed on the new
site - ready for cut over on 9/18.
- 9/9/2009 - Early notice of new site sent to CiscoUnityTools mailer list.
- 95/2009 - Upgraded DHTMLX
library used for the grid to 2.5. Updated boolean grid columns to graphical
"yes/no" fields. Attempted to implement custom hooks for
column filtering but the performance was too slow with the manual field
checks so I left the old "0/1" auto filters in place and added
an extra note to the top of the page. Hopefully folks will catch on
to how the filters work if they need to use them. Updated the search
page to have Unity and Connection content specific searches on a single
tab control.
- 9/3/2009 - First public beta of the new Cisco Unified
Communications tools web site. Internal mailer and the Unified
Communications forum were sent links - feedback coming in from both.
- 9/1/2009 - Automatic update of site from database
driven application functioning end to end.
- 8/31/2009 - Fully functional "all downloads"
page with XML driven grid support with filters available for internal
testing
- 8/27/2009 - Several layouts presented to internal users
with various navigation thems. A simple
single frame with top navigation bar by far and away the most popular
selection. Simple and clean are the watchwords of the day. 301
reroutes tested on several pages from the existing site to the new
one. 150 test entries in the .htaccess
file proved to perform perfectly, TAC and tech
pubs can keep their existing shortcut libraries for the time being.
- 8/22/2009 - Staging site
"LindborgLabsBeta.com" registered and active - ready for
prototypes of new site design.
