NOTE: The following MWI settings will only apply to the subscribers MWI that is named "MWI-1". If no such MWI exists for the subscriber, than any selected changes will be ignored for that subscriber.
MWI code. You can enter any number string in here or “X”. “X” will automatically be replaced with the user’s extension number… this is the most common use of this field. You might need to do this if you’re changing numbering plans and want to make sure everyone is using the updated values for their lamps. It would be VERY unusual to stick a static number in here and have a large number of subscribers. If a value other than "X" has been assigned, but no switch has been assigned, the subscriber's switch will be used. NOTE: This change will require you manually restart the AvNotifierMgr service before it takes effect.
Disable MWI functionality for user. If you check this box, the MWI code for the selected subscribers will be removed and no MWI strings will be setup for them. Checking this boxes clears and disables the MWI Code edit box as well. NOTE: This change will require you manually restart the AvNotifierMgr service before it takes effect.
Change switch assignment to. In a multi-switch integration you can select the phone system in this drop down that the MWI will use when turning on or off. NOTE: Using a MWI Code of "X" will automatically force the switch assignment to match the subscriber.
Maximum message length. This sets the number of seconds for the maximum message length outside callers will be limited to when leaving this subscriber a message. This can be a number between 0 and 1200 (20 minutes). NOTE: Subscribers leaving messages for this user are not limited by this value, they are limited by their Class of Service setting for the maximum message record time they are allowed.
Callers can edit messages. Set this drop down to “true” to allow callers to review, rerecord or append to messages they’ve just recorded for this subscriber.
Callers can mark messages as urgent. Set this drop down to “true” to allow outside callers to mark messages for this subscriber as urgent.
After message action. After the user leaves a message, normally you would want to send them to the ‘say goodbye’ call handler. If, however, you want to do something different you can configure it here.
Take Action. Select this radio button and select the action from the drop down list.
Hang Up. Unity will hang up on the caller immediate after they finish recording their message. This is a little abrupt… typically you’d want to send someone to the “say goodbye” call handler and hang up nicely instead.
Sign In. The caller will be sent to the subscriber sign in conversation after they finish recording their message.
Greetings Administrator. This option will send the caller to the greetings administration conversation. This will allow them to select a call handler they own by name or ID and record the greetings for it over the phone.
Broadcast Message Administrator. You can go to this conversation for sending and/or editing broadcast messages heard by all users on the local Unity server.
Go To Directory. Select this radio button to send the caller to a selected directory handler after the caller finishes recording their message. A directory handler allows callers to find subscribers in the system by spelling their names using the phone dial pad.
Go to Call Handler. Select this radio button if you want to send the caller to a call handler after the caller finishes recording their message. Hit the “browse” button and select a call handler from the resulting dialog. The display name of the call handler will appear in the edit box to the right of the radio button. If you check the “Don’t try to ring phone” checkbox, Unity will send the caller directly to the greeting of the selected call handler without trying a transfer rule, even if one is enabled and active.
Go to Subscriber. Select this radio button if you want to send the caller to a subscriber’s mailbox after the caller finishes recording their message. Hit the “browse” button and select a subscriber from the resulting dialog. The display name of the user will appear in the edit box to the right of the radio button. If you check the “Don’t try to ring phone” checkbox, Unity will send the caller directly to the greeting of the selected subscriber without trying the transfer rule, even if it’s enabled.
Go To interview. Select this radio button if you want to send the caller to an interview handler after the caller finishes recording their message. Hit the “browse” button and select an interview handler from the resulting dialog. The display name of the interview handler will appear in the edit box to the right of the radio button.
